Key Lab. of Cell Biology affiliated to Ministry of Public Health of China

The Lab of Cell Biology,China Medical University was authorized by Ministry of Public Health of China as Key Lab of Cell Biology affiliated to Ministry of Public Health of China in 1987.

Research Works:

  • The structure of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the characterization of some proteins synthesized by ER in colorectal cancer cells.The research works are on the leading level in the world.
  • Clinical application of McAb anti-colorectal carcinomer and the cell membrane associated antigen that recognized by McAb.The research works are on the advanced level in the world.
  • Changes of ER structure and some proteins synthesized by ER in colorectal cancer cells induced by chemicals.The research works are on the advanced level in China.
  • The molecular biology and genome of stomach cancer.The research works are on the advanced level in the world.

    Members of Lab:

    15 teachers,12 technicients,1 postdoctor,8 ph.D graduates,11 M.Sc graduates, 1 teacher working at the lab from abroad. 3 professors,3 associated professors.2 tutors of ph.D graduates,6 tutors of M.Sc graduate, 1 modal teacher of China. 33% of teachers have received ph.D, 83% M.Sc, 58% have worked and studied in abroad.

    Main Academic Leaders:

    Jindan Song:

    Professor. A tutor of ph.D graduate,one of the major founders of medical cell biology in China.The chairman of academic committee,Key Lab of Cell Biology affiliated to Ministry of Public Health of China; the president of Chinese Society on Medical Cell Biology;the standing member of directing board of Chinese Society of Cell Biology and the chairman of Special Committee of Cancer Cell Biology.

    Yunqing Wang

    Professor. A tutor of M.Sc graduate, a modal teacher of China. The pre-chairman of Department of Cell Biology, China Medical University.

    Xue Zhang

    Professor.A tutor of ph.D graduate, the chairmen of Key Lab of Cell Biology affili ated to Ministry of Public Health of China; chairman of Department of Cell Biology, China Medical University.

    Research Works:

  • 25 research projects were supported by grands from 1991: 8 from state, 13 ministry and pro vine, 3 city, 1 international cooperation.
  • Grands of present 17 research projects from: state 3, ministry and province 11, city 2, int ernational cooperation 1.

    Published Articles and Books:

    More than 200 articles have been published in international and national journals; 13 books, 5 of which are the editors in chief, have been published.

    Awards:

    16 awards, in which 7 are first and second rank evaluated by state, ministry and province.
      The area of the lab is about 800 square meters, the total value of equipment is 9.86 million yuan.
