The General Condition of Cooperation and Exchange

     Since 1982, our uiversity has been keeping friendily relationships with 25 foreign universities respectively in U.S.,Canada,France, Japan, Russia and Korea, etc. and harmonious cooperations with foreign unofficial groups and research institutions. Till the end of May 1999, about 6000 person times scholors and experts had been visited our university and more than 1800 people had been sent abroad. During this period of time , 50 odd international cooperation programs had been developed.

     With the reform and opening-up policy have been adopted in our country, World Bank had aided our university through the loans. And now China Medical Board and Japan International Cooperation Agency have continued subsidizing our university.

     Our university is among the schools that were first permitted by the Education Ministry in 1992 to accept students from Taiwan, HongKong and Macao. Since 1998 when we began to admit students from Taiwan till November,1999, there have been 9 students in the campus.

    The students from Taiwan, HongKong and Macao are not only different from foreign students but also from the students of Mainland. In accordance with government's policies and practical conditions , our university has made special efforts to help them in study as well as in life.

• 1.China Medical University has accepted foreign students since 1976.
• 2.From 1976 to 1998, China Medical University has accepted 288 foreign students from 47 countries including Asia¡¢Africa¡¢Europe¡¢America.
• 3.China Medical University has accepted foreign students for Master's Degree since 1987 and has accepted foreign students for Doctorate since 1994.
• 4.Now(1999.6) there are 45 foreign students from 15 countries in China Medical University, they are 2 Doctoal students, 4 postgraduates, 2 advanced trainees, 7 common trainees and 30 undergraduates.
