Introduction to Department of Oral Medicine

Department of oral medicine of School of Stomatology in China Medical University,which has integrated medical treatment,scientific research and teaching work into a whole,is made up of Divisions of dentopulpitis, periodontisis and oral mucosal diseases.There are more than 30 doctors and nurses including 2 professors,3 associate professors as well as 12 lecturers at present. Moreover,85 percent of doctors have been given master degree or doctor degree so that they form a qualified scientists and technicians echelone with high level.

  In recent 10 years,this department has taken on more than 10 scientific research items granted by liaoning Province or the nation and obtained research fund 250,000 yuan.In addition, more than 60 treatises have been issued in domestic or foreign journals.
  The chairman of the department,Professor Yaping Pan has been entitled Committee at National Microecology Association,Committee at Editorial Board of China Journal Microecology,Chair of Committee at Liaoning Oral Medicine Association and Vice Chair of liaoning Microecology Association. In recent years she is devoted to periodontal disease research in etiology,microbiology and Microecology.The project of Study of Interaction between Streptococcus sanguis and Periodontopathic Bacteria which is taken on by her obtained the Third Prize of liaoning Province Board and the Ministry of National Education.
