China Medicial University Pediatrics Institute was eatablished in 1985.It consists of virus lab, haematic lab,genetics lab,pediatric surgery lab and neonatal diseases lab.There are 35 full-time research workers,including 10 professors and associate professors.The clinical specialists are part-time research workers.The main research interests:virus pathogen of pediatric disease, diagnosis of intrauterine infection and the influence of neuroblastoma,hemorrhage and coagulation disease and neonatal hemolytic disease,phenylketonuria(PKU),spinal myodystrophy,hypertrophic myodystrophy,the pathology anatomy,etiology and treatment of deformities of extremities and spine (include congenital dislocation of the hip,congenital clubfoot),malformations of the digestive tract,congenital anorectal deformities,neonatal hypoxia and ischemic encephalopathy,pneumorrhagia ,scleredema neonatorum,acute renal failure,the method of blood purification.Our institute have taken charge of the seventh-five-year,eighth-five-year and ninth-five-year research projects, nature scientific fund projects and health ministry clinical important construct items.The institute have undertaken province and ministry projects items and have set up a cooperative research work with U.S.A,U.K,Japan,Italy,Spain and France.
