Research Fields
Prof. wang has made very high attainments in the area
of spinal surgery. He has made new progress in the surgical treatment of the
following:cervical spondylosis of both spinal cord type and vertebral artery
type, prolapse of cervical intervertebral disc, ossification of posterior longitudinal
ligament(OPLL)and spinal stenosis,etc.He has achieved good results in operating
difficult cases such as deformity of high cervical spine,cervical spine tumors.His
surgical treatment of kyphosis,early surgery of paralysis due to fracture of
spine,segmental spinal fixation, RF and Cage for lumbar spondylolisthesis, arterior
approach of prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc, posterior approach MED have
taken a leading role in Chinese medicine and often called breakthrough in new
techniques.
Achievements
Prof.Wang has treated patients from all over China.His clinical
and laboratory research in extension ankylosis of the knee joint received both
the provincial and municipal scientific research prizes. His paper on the research
competition "Clinical and laboratory arthroplasty"which was organized by the
Health Ministry of China won the first prize of Provincial Scientific Association.
In collaboration with Tianjin Metals Research Institute, Prof.Wang's research
on the histocompatibility of Y184 metal won him a prize by the Ministry of metallurgy.
He won the natural science best prize for his thesis on "the functional reconstruction
of the knee and hip after total knee and total hip replacement".
