经过一年多的精心筹备,近日由皮静波教授牵头,美国埃默里大学张强教授和我院王惠惠教授共同客座主编的Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology(以下简称TAAP)环境暴露物毒性测试专刊“Advances in Research Strategies and Approaches for Toxicity Testing of Environmental Exposures”正式在线发表(https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/toxicology-and-applied-pharmacology/special-issue/1067QJT045G)。TAAP是ELSEVIER旗下毒理药理学领域有影响力的经典老牌非开放发表学术期刊,中科院文献情报中心期刊分区毒理学分区为2区,2022年影响因子为4.46。
环境暴露的健康风险评估是健康保障和疾病预防的基础,但对环境中的物理、化学和生物等暴露因素进行风险评估是一项复杂且极具挑战性的任务。2007年美国国家科学研究委员会(NRC)发表《21世纪毒性测试:愿景和策略》,提出了新的环境健康风险评价体系框架,即由整体动物为基础的毒性测试体系转向基于人源细胞、细胞系或细胞组分为主的体外毒性测试体系。在过去的15年中,愿景的多方面已经取得了突破性进展,但与愿景的实现仍存差距,此次组织专刊旨在梳理环境暴露毒性测试的研究策略和方法的最新进展。
专刊收录了来自中国,美国,英国,意大利以及墨西哥等国20个研究团队的最新研究成果,聚焦计算毒理学方法、体外细胞测试方法、微小生理装置和低等生物模型、组学技术、化学物标化5个主题(见表一)。

化学品的毒性测试利用化学、生物医学、生物技术和计算科学等多学科的最新研究进展和技术进步,不断开发和利用新模型进行评估,已经取得了一定的研究进展。但真实世界的环境暴露多为混合暴露,且暴露途径和剂量多变,因此研究开发能够适用现实环境暴露的毒性测试体系仍然是一个亟待突破的瓶颈。下一代的毒性测试体系,需基于大数据,整合与测试相关的所有信息,包括来自体内、体外实验研究和流行病学调查的数据,应用人工智能集成多学科方法的体系(图一)。该专刊是对环境暴露物毒性测试研究的深入思考与总结,为相关领域研究人员提供不可多得的经验与建设性建议(专刊具体内容请扫图二中二维码)。
