In order to continuously create a safe, clean and warm accommodation environment, further cultivate students' good living and hygiene habits, and improve the civilized quality of foreign students, the IES put forward the "my dormitory, my home" foreign student dormitory hygiene evaluation contest with the aim of advocating civilized life and promoting campus culture in early April. On 29th April, IES held the Dormitory Sanitation Competition in the college conference room. Chen Lei, the vice dean and all the college staff participated in the selection.

The selection of the competition include all students from the 16th and 17th dormitory. The evaluation focuses on safety, neatness, cleanliness, comfort and beauty, which highlighs the youthful vitality of college students. At the primary stage of election, the college sent 6 teachers to the 16th and 17th dormitories for preliminary screening. 28 students' dormitories were selected for the final stage.

At the final stage of selection, the photos of the shortlisted dormitory are displayed one by one in the conference room in order to adhere to the principle of fairness and justice. All photos are graded by the vice dean and other staffs. Finally, 2 rooms awarded the first prize, five rooms for the second prize, and 7 rooms for the third prize.

Dormitory is mainly the study and living place for international students. Elegant dormitory culture and clean sanitary environment can not only reflect the good hygiene habits of foreign students, but also reflect their ability of self-management. In addition, dormitory is the window of campus culture. The environment of dormitory is also closely related to the life style, learning attitude, behavior standard and value idea of each student. IES hopes to promote the self-service ability of the foreign students and the overall improvement of the comprehensive quality of the foreign students through organizing students to carry out the dormitory hygiene evaluation.
