I. Supporting categories, coverage and duration
1. Supporting categories: undergraduate, master's and doctoral students.
2. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, stipend (2,500 RMB/month for undergraduates, 3,000 RMB/month for masters and 3,500 RMB/month for doctoral students), and comprehensive medical insurance.
3. Duration: 3 academic years for master's degree students; 3 academic years for doctoral degree students (can be extended for one year upon application).
II. Specialties and Languages of Instruction
Bachelor's Degree (taught in Chinese): Clinical Medicine, Stomatology.
Master's and Doctoral Degree (taught in Chinese or English): Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Stomatology.
III. Application period
Applicants are required to finish the application on CSC system www.campuschina.org and upload the relevant "Supplementary Materials" before May 15, 2026. Please ensure that the information provided is true, accurate and complete.
IV. Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a national of Iran, Thailand, Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, South Korea, Syria, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, or Kazakhstan; and be in good physical and mental health.
2. Age, education background and language requirements:
(1) be an academically excellent holder of high school diploma or its equivalent under the age of 25 when applying for an undergraduate program;
(2) be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a Master’s program;
(3) be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral program;
(4) Language requirements:
Undergraduate applicants (taught in Chinese): have passed the HSK (Level 3) when applying for a Chinese-taught undergraduate program.
Master's and doctoral applicants must have a Chinese proficiency level equivalent to HSK Level 4. Applicants applying for English-taught programs must be able to successfully use English for their discipline-specific study and research, and possess the ability to work in their field using English. For applicants whose native language is not English, they are required to have attained IELTS Academic (no less than 6.0), TOEFL (no less than 70), or other equivalent level of English proficiency.
V. List of application materials
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (filled in online);
2. A clear scanned copy of the passport information page. The passport must be valid for at least one year beyond the application date. If your current passport does not meet the validity requirements, please renew it promptly;
3. Diploma and certificate of highest education (notarized photocopy). If the applicant is a current student, they must submit a letter of anticipated graduation issued by their school. The applicant must obtain degree by September 2026. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation;
4. Academic transcripts. Undergraduate applicants are required to provide transcripts of all courses taken during high school. Master's and doctoral applicants are required to provide transcripts covering all academic stages including undergraduate, master's (if any), and doctoral (if any) studies, up to the most recent semester. The transcripts should be issued and stamped by the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School or relevant student administration department of the university. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;
5. Proof of language proficiency. Applicants must provide a valid HSK score report that meets the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants applying for programs with English as the medium of instruction must also provide corresponding language proficiency certificates as required by the university, such as IELTS or TOEFL score reports. Applicants whose mother tongue is English or whose language of instruction was English throughout their highest education of study are exempted from the English test scores, but must submit a certificate of English language instruction issued by the school;
6. Transcript of the Chinese Scholastic Competence Test for International Undergraduate Students (CSCA). Applicants applying for a bachelor’s degree must register for the CSCA and obtain a valid transcript before the application deadline. The test subjects are Chinese (Science), Mathematics, and Chemistry.
7. Applicants for master's and doctoral degree are required to submit an acceptance letter of the intended supervisor (please check the list of available supervisors for international postgraduate students in 2026 on the official website of the School of International Education of China Medical University - Admission Information - Supervisor Information section and download the document template. Download link: https://www.cmu.edu.cn/gjjyxy/zsxx/dsxx.htm). If you have contacted your mentor on your own and signed the mentor's acceptance letter, please upload it to the application system; if you have not succeeded in contacting your mentor on your own, please fill in the Intended Mentor Application Form and send it to admissions@cmu.edu.cn;
8. Pre-admission letter: Applicants are requested to contact the University's Admissions Department for issuance of the letter after obtaining a signed acceptance letter from their supervisor;
9. Study plan for China. The study plan should be submitted in Chinese/English (more than 1000 words), including basic information of the applicant, personal statement, existing research results, research objectives and specific study plan;
10. Recommendation letters. Applicants for master's degree or doctoral degree must submit a letter of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, which should focus on the requirements of the applicant's study objectives in China, the cooperation between the Chinese institution or the Chinese supervisor and the foreign supervisor or the inter-school exchanges, as well as the evaluation of the student's overall ability and future development, and can only be written in Chinese or English (please include personal signature and contact information);
11. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents from their legal guardians in China;
12. A copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original document, printed by Chinese quarantine authorities, shall be filled in in English and kept by the applicant).The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Medical examination results are valid for only six months;
13. Certificate of no criminal record. An applicant shall submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate) issued by the local public security (such as the police station), usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application.
14. Fresh graduates in China must submit the page of their residence permit in China and a certificate of school performance issued by their current school;
15. Other materials such as published papers, certificates of awards, work or internship certificates, etc. (if any).
Note: All materials uploaded through the system must be clear, true and valid. It is recommended that applicants use professional equipment to scan the relevant documents to be submitted, and the applicant shall bear the consequences of unclear or unrecognizable uploaded materials.
VI. Admission procedure
1. China Medical University examines the application materials of the applicants and organizes interviews with experts, and submits the list of recommended candidates and application materials to the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as “CSC”) after passing the examination;
2. The CSC will organize designated universities and experts concerned to examine applicants’ eligibility and academic performance before finalizing the short-list candidates;
T3. he CSC will notify the admission results to China Medical University that will subsequently have the applicant informed.
VII. Online declaration operation process
Step 1: Visit the website of "Study in China" and click on the icon of "Management Information System for Chinese Government Scholarships to Study in China" to enter the application system. Link to "Study in China" website: http://www.campuschina.org
Click the [Student Registration] button to register an account. After successful registration, log in to the system using your registered account.
Step 2: Enter the applicant's "personal data". Click [Edit Personal Information] to start entering personal information, complete the entry of personal information item by item, and verify and save. After completing the entry of personal data, click [Finish] to return to the previous interface and start entering personal application information. Applicants must complete the entry of personal data before starting to fill in the application information.
Step 3: Select the correct "Study Abroad Program Type". Please select the "Category B" study abroad program type and click the [Add Application] button to begin entering your application information.
Step 4: Fill in the correct "accepting organization number (provided by the university to be applied)". Your accepting organization number is 10159. "Type of Study Abroad Program" and "Accepting Organization Number" are related to each other and are both required fields in the "Chinese Government Scholarships for Study in China Management Information System".
After the applicant fills in the application form, the system will automatically display the name of the accepting department represented by the filled-in code. There is a correspondence between the type of study abroad program and the number of the accepting organization. If you fill in the code incorrectly, the scholarship accepting department will not be able to receive the online application information.
Step 5: Fill in the "Application Information". After completing the above operations, enter "Language Proficiency and Study Plan" and upload "Supplementary Materials" until you click [Submit] to complete your application. Before submitting your application, please check the information and supplementary materials carefully to ensure that they are correct and true. Each applicant is limited to submitting only one application for Category B within the same enrollment year, and if an applicant for a Category B scholarship has more than one institution in mind, he/she should decide on one as the scholarship applicant's institution, and the submitted application for Category B will be regarded as the applicant's final intended institution of higher education.
Step 6: Once the application is submitted, the applicant will not be able to modify the "Personal Information" and "Application Information". Before the application is accepted, the applicant can withdraw the submitted application by clicking [Withdrawal] and make changes. After the application has been withdrawn, the applicant must submit it again after editing, otherwise the application will not be accepted. After the application is accepted, the applicant will not be able to withdraw the application.
Step 7: Click on "Print Application" to download the application form.
Step 8: Submit the scholarship application as requested by the receiving organization.
Note: Firefox or IE 11 is recommended. If you are using IE, please remove the "Compatibility View Mode" of your browser and use it. Applicants must complete all application information in Chinese or English.
The University does not entrust any individual or enrollment service organization to accept applications for Chinese Government Scholarships. The official website of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) http://www.campuschina.org/ is the only official website for the release of information related to studying in China, so applicants should pay attention to the screening of false information.
