The logistics Management Department is responsible for the management of international student dormitories, while the Public Security Department, International Education School and other relevant management units are responsible for the related functions.
These regulations apply to the management of international student dormitories in China Medical University.
1. Freshmen check-in
New international students should register at International Education School, and then get the Dormitory Registration form for CMU’s International Students. With the form, students are able to choose a suitable room in international students’ dormitories. Once the room is selected, it cannot be changed without special reasons. Students are not allowed to change the locks of rooms and bedrooms without permission, and are not allowed to dismantle or divert indoor furniture or facilities without permission. Otherwise, all losses caused shall be borne by the parties concerned. If the entrance card is lost or damaged and needs to be re-applied, students should go to the card center with valid ID.
If a new student comes to campus during non-working hours, he/she can go to the dormitory first, and the dormitory administrator will arrange a temporary room for him/her. After completing check-in procedures, he/she will go through the formal procedures and be assigned a room.
2. When students drop out of school, suspend school or move out of the dormitory for other reasons, students should go to the advisor’s office to get and fill in the Application for moving out of the Dormitory, settle the accommodation fee and go through the procedures for withdrawal.
3. Students are responsible for the normal use and proper protection of the facilities and equipment in the student dormitory. It is forbidden to pick, chisel, nail, disassemble and change the use function on the walls and furniture equipment in the student dormitory. It is forbidden to use sharp tools to carve or put hot objects on the furniture equipment. If there is any damage, compensation shall be made according to the price.
4. Students shall carefully observe the Students' Dormitory Civilization Health Inspection Regulations, and be actively advocated to consciously develop speaking civilization, hygiene, discipline and love of labor. The way of respecting teachers, unity and mutual assistance is also advocated. It is forbidden to pile up sundries on desks and beds, and beds and bedding should be tidy every day.
5. Consciously maintain the health environment in public places, and develop good health habits. It is forbidden to pour water and pile rubbish in the corridor. Pouring the leftovers into the union washing pool, and piling up wastes and hanging objects that hinder the sight in the balcony and corridor are also forbidden.
6. Strengthen safety prevention and self-protection awareness, and pay attention to fire prevention and theft. In the dormitory building, it is forbidden to store all kinds of toxic, flammable and explosive articles, burn waste materials, drink alcohol, gamble, fight, make too much noise and do other behaviors that will hinder others' study and rest. Smoking is prohibited in the dormitory.
7. All kinds of marketing advertisements, obscene pictures, business activities and parking of bicycles are prohibited in the dormitories. Parking bicycles is also prohibited.
8. No pets are allowed in the dormitory.
9. Students should strictly implement the fire control regulations and Interim Management Measures for Water Conservation and Electricity Consumption of China Medical University. The use of electric heaters, electric furnaces, heating units, electric cups and other high-power electrical appliances for electric heating and cooling in student dormitories is also forbidden. Do not connect wires privately. Those who violate the regulations and cause losses to others or public property must be compensated according to price.
10.The dormitory implements 24-hour power supply system.
11. The closing time of dormitory is 11:00 PM.
12. When receiving visitors, outsiders should take the initiative to show their credentials and can only enter after being registered and approved by the doorman. Visitors are not allowed to be received in the dormitory after 22:00. Guests of the opposite sex are required to leave at 6:00 p.m. that night.
13. It is strictly forbidden to rent beds and stay with others. Once found, students will be given corresponding disciplinary punishments.
14. The Logistics Management Department is the management and service department of the student dormitory, responsible for the management and daily service of the student dormitory, and checking the student dormitory together with the Public Security Department, International Education School and other relevant departments, and transferring students who violate the rules and regulations to the International Education School to deal according to relevant regulations.
