The 2023 CMU "Red Doctor Cup" basketball game begins!

On afternoon of 23rd May 2023, the IES team took it to the ground to showcase their skills by an impressive performance in the match against School of Intelligence medicine.

The team looked so enthusiastic and confident that they were going to do their best, looking sharp in their yellow jazzes and jogging around the court, just by the look on their faces you could tell that they were winning already. Throughout the game the team had a strong defense and flexibility was one to be admired.

Speaking of support, the international students availed themselves in good numbers to cheer up the team and give the needful support. Everyone watched the game keenly, carefully counting each and every goal scored, it was as though we were all part of the game and yes, the support was totally worth it. Most of us, with me included were/are not basketball diehard fans but just watching the game made me realize I actually enjoy watching basketball, yet to enjoy playing it!

Lastly, the game ended so well,and the IES team was so happy to have delivered as expected, an exemplary performance scoring 30 against 16 was worth a victory dance. It definitely wasn’s t a wasted effort to cheer my lungs out. By the end of the game, we were not watching the IES team anymore but winners and it was refreshing to see the smiles on their faces , sharing in the beautiful atmosphere of joy.

As we departed from the court, everyone was smiling and yearning to come back the next day and watch the second game. BRAVO! team IES! This is only our first game, we hope our players in the following series of games will have the same courage and enthusiasm to win more games in the future.
