With a background in Internal Medicine, Dr. Andreasen is working in the field of Medical Imaging and microscopy. The main effort has been the Introduction of a 3D concept in histology, and the implementation of 3D reconstruction of organs from serial tissue sections. The recent focus has been on 3D reconstruction and description of the mouse kidney, the rat kidney, the developing mouse kidney, and modelling of complex organ systems. Dr. Andreasen will talk about the practical issues and application of the methods.
