受我校口腔医学院学科建设与人才培养发展基金的资助，应口腔医学院的邀请，美国宾夕法尼亚大学牙学院副院长Dana T Graves教授及中国医科大学名誉教授Songtao Shi于11月9日来口腔医学院进行友好访问，与口腔医学院师生举行座谈会，了解口腔医学院学科科研情况，并由Dana T Graves教授进行学术报告。

Dana T Graves教授，美国宾夕法尼亚大学牙医学院副院长，主管科研和学术交流工作；牙周科主任，教授，博士生导师。美国牙医学协会、美国牙周病学会，美国糖尿病协会委员。Journal of Dental Research 副主编；Bone, Apoptosis, Diabetes, Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Periodontology等SCI杂志特约审稿专家；美国NIDR，NIH基金评审专家。
主要研究方向：感染和糖尿病相关的牙周、皮肤、骨组织损伤机制及修复治疗的研究。主持参与NIH课题20余项，发表学术论文170余篇。
