The Sports Section of the IES Student Union organised selections for CMU Sports Meet along with the Inter- Class Outdoor Games 2016 on 14th May 2016, at 9am sharp at the Stadium.
A substantial number of students participated in various Track and Field events like Races (100m, 200m, etc), 110m Hurdles, Triple Jump and Shotput, to name a few.
The Outdoor Games comprised of events like Sac Race, Jianzi (Chinese Shuttlecock), Penalty Shootout, Pick N Act, Tug of War, Dodgeball and Thread the Needle.
Students zealously participated in these games and cheered with great enthusiasm for their classes throughout the event.
Advisors from the International Educational School- Shi Laoshi, Liu Laoshi and Diao Laoshi took time out of their hectic schedules to grace the occasion. They supervised the selections for Sports Meet and also awarded trophies and medals to the winners of the Outdoor Games. Medals were also awarded to the best performers of each event.
The overall results of the Outdoor Games are as follows-
1st - 2014 Class 1
2nd - 2015 Class 2
3rd - 2013 Class 2
The event was enjoyed by all thoroughly with the Sports Section determined to return with an even bigger and better Outdoor Games event next semester.
