TheChessTournamentwas conducted by the IES Student Union’s Study Section on April 6 and 7 in the student activity room at IES.

In the tournament, there were 4 rounds with 16 players participating. Each round lasted from 45minutes to 1hour.

Players showed ingenious skills in the battle field and were reticent on each of their moves.Chinese student Liang Yue secured first place followed by Hashi Abullahi Hashi of Batch 2016 in second place. Congratulations!

Michael Xu, president of the student union, and Vidusha Thebuwana, chief of the study section, as well as other members of the study section organized a captivating event and applauded the prodigious competitors. Well done everybody.
