In order to standardize the use and management of kitchen knives used by international students and maintain the safety and order of the campus, the management regulations are formulated in accordance with the principle of ‘the owner of the kitchen knives shall undertake the due obligations.
After taking the particularity of international students and their different lifestyles into consideration, our school sets up public kitchen for international students and allow them to own kitchen knives if necessary. All kitchen knives should be managed in accordance with the regulations below.
The kitchen knives here refer to those which are necessary for international students to process and prepare simple food. Controlled knives are excluded.
1. Use of kitchen knives
All kitchen knives shall be used by the owners only. They are not allowed to give or lend to others and shall bear holders’ names or necessary marks.
Pay attention to the safety while using the knives in order to avoid accidental injury. The knives holder shall be responsible for the consequences arising therefrom.
Once controlled knives are found to be used as kitchen knives, they shall be confiscated. The case will be handed over to the public security organs according to the Law of the People's Republic of China on Punishment for Public Security Administration.
2. Storage of kitchen knives
All knives must be stored in the hidden place of students' own rooms without being placed in the public areas or exposed in the rooms. They are not allowed to be taken out of the dormitory. Otherwise, the owner of the knife will be responsible for any adverse consequences arising therefrom.
3. Other matters
1). The knife holders is fully responsible for the use, storage of the knives and the safety towards other students.
2). The kitchen knives can only be used for students' cooking. In case of any violation of school student management regulations or laws of China, the knife holders and users will be given corresponding punishments or legal sanctions according to the actual circumstances.
3). Abandoned knives are not allowed to be disposed by individuals, and must be handed over to the guard of the dormitory in order to be processed by the school uniformly.
