Programmes:

CQC currently recruit students in two majors: Pharmaceutical Sciences(90/year) and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology(60/year).


 

Information about pharmaceutical biotechnology

 

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology  4 years  code: 071002H

 

Pharmaceutical biotechnology was founded by CMU and QUB jointly. All the courses of Biotechnology will be implemented in CMU campus through cooperation between CMU and QUB.

 

On the basis of bioscience, pharmaceutical biotechnology is an integrated system that utilizes living systems and organisms to develop or make products or provide service for the society. Pharmaceutical biotechnology major aims to foster bilingual professional personnel with global vision, solid specialized knowledge and skills. The students from pharmaceutical biotechnology may work in pharmaceutical enterprise, research institution, college and university, large-scale hospital as researcher, technician, teacher or administrative staff. After receiving four years world-class education, the students will be fully prepared for further education.

The syllabus is designed by CMU and QUB jointly. Main courses of first school year are IElTS English and other foundation courses. For the rest of other three school years, most of the courses are QUB’s specialized courses, 50% of which will be delivered by QUB teachers fully in English. And teachers from CMU approved by QUB with competent English will in charge of the other 50%. For the students who have successfully fulfilled 4-year study in CQC and met certain requirements, they will receive a graduation certificate and a degree certificate from CMU as well as an identical BSc diploma from QUB as in UK.

 

Core courses: IELTS English, Pharmaceutical Microbiology,Pharmaceutical Physiology, Mathematics And Statistical Skills, Properties and Analysis of Drug Molecules, Medicinal Substances: Characterisation and Quantification, Medicinal Substances: Structure and Function, Industrial Pharmaceutics, Principles of drug action,Applied Pharmaceutical Biotechnology,Pharma Bio Research Project,Industry: Quality, Regulation and Entrepreneurship,Personalised Medicine and Therapeutics,Microbial Biotechnology.

Pharmaceutical Science major was founded by CMU and QUB jointly. All the courses of Pharmaceutics will be implemented in CMU campus through cooperation between the two parties. 
Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to foster bilingual professional personnel with global vision, solid specialized knowledge and skills. The students from Pharmaceutical Sciences may work in Pharmaceutical enterprise, research institution, college and university, large-scale hospital, pharmacy administration institution, pharmacy inspecting institution as researcher, technician, teacher, consultant or administrative staff etc. After receiving four years world-class education, they students will be fully prepared for further education.
