On March 3rd 2021, Liaoning Provincial Education Department Office announced the 2020 National and Provincial First-class Programme Construction Points released by MoE, which disclosed the second batch of the national and provincial first-class programme construction points. CQC Pharmaceutical Sciences programme was awarded as the provincial first-level programme construction point, and was also the only awarded programme among the Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools in Liaoning in 2020.
Inspired by the notion of "International Perspective, Innovative Development" and jointly supported by China Medical University and The Queen's University of Belfast, CQC has paid great attention to the programme construction in order to provide world first-class higher education in pharmacy. CQC highly values infrastructure construction, actively improves school-running conditions, and creates an advanced and international teaching environment. CQC pays attention to teacher training, builds an internationalized and sophisticated teaching team with the support of PGCHET (Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching) accredited by the Higher Education Academy. CQC has also constantly provided its students with guidance, encouragement, support in learning, mental health and livelihood and sent students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship training and visited UK to promote the all-round development of students.
Pharmaceutical Sciences programme has established a well-developed talent cultivation system utilizing the advantages of both Chinese and British educational resources, optimized the structure of teaching staff, strengthened quality assurance system, and cultivated international pharmaceutical talents with "excellent professional knowledge, outstanding comprehensive ability and fluent English". In the past three years, the teaching staff have won one Second Prize and one Third Prize of Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. Our teachers have presided over five provincial/national level teaching reform projects, published nearly 10 teaching research papers and edited 18 textbooks. Pharmaceutical Sciences students have participated in more than 80 innovation and entrepreneurship projects, won 4 national and 7 provincial awards and published 12 academic papers.
