Volleyball Competition

     The International Education School (IES) submitted a male and a female team to the CMU Volleyball Tournament.  The Sports Section of the Student Union recruited the members of the teams via tryout sessions.In total there were 12 members of each team; 6 first string players and 6 substitutes.The boy’s team played two matches (2); they lost one and won one. Their opponent for the 3rd match forfeited, therefore, they were awarded the point. The girl’s team played three (3) matches; they won two (2) and lost the other.  Even though both teams won 2 matches out of the 3 they played, it still wasn’t enough to move them to semi-finals. Their efforts were really appreciated which was even observed from the diverse turn out of supporters. Both the teams and supporters had fun throughout the games and with that, the Sports Section of IES deemed the event as being successful. Both teams were given certificates of appreciation for their active role in representing IES. We hope that in future competitions we may be able to take home the trophies for both teams.
