CMU CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP

Cheerleaders are the promoters of their schools and communities. They are a key marketing tool to the athletics programs that they support, and they create the community patriotism we call "school spirit." IES Cheer squad performed exceptionally well this year.

IES Cheer Recruitment started September 2^nd2018 and by September 4^th , Sports Section closed registration with a total of 15 members. The cheer competition routine was to be done in 2-3 minutes . Additionally , there was a 1 minute solo routine from the squad captain Ruby Ryland.

There were 16 squads including IES competing for the CMU Cheerleading Cup. The competition was held on the 27^th of September and the squad performed energetically for the eager supporters. The Sports Section wishes to thank the cheer master Akili Samuels for his time and dedication to choreographing and teaching the squad. The Sports Section also wishes to thank the IES student body for their unending support.
