On Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 2:30pm to 4:30 pm, the Study Section hosted its fourth Basic Medical Assessment (BMA) seminar of the academic year2018-2019. The Re-run happened on Saturday, April 7, 2019. The seminar covered assessment techniques done in the clinical examination of the nervous system.
A total of 23 participants were trained under the guidance of Surya Sivanesan. This event was spearheaded by the Student Union Study Section chief Alpha Kalonda Mutamba and members Deepika Soundararajan, Joshua Blay, Aldrich Adonis Furtal and Surya Sivanesan.

This month, the BMA seminar emphasized clinical concepts of the nervous system and students got a chance to review history taking and practice in pairs. With regard to the Study Section’s vision of rising up knowledgeable, skilful and motivated CMU students, students are invited to join this practical activity to enrich our clinical knowledge and skills. We had a good time learning clinical skills and putting into practice the knowledge garnered from classroom theory. We are deeply longing to have more opportunities to participate in such practical events.
